This summer during the Edmonton and Northern Alberta Historic Festival, there are museum exhibits to explore, heritage activities such as tours of communities, gardens, natural areas, cemeteries and neighbourhoods, hands-on pioneer experiences, special days for children, archives to search, and events that include storytelling, music and food and much more. 

So, whether you live in the city or the country, gather your partner, your children, your parents and friends and celebrate our heritage...our ties... as more than 100 museums, historic sites and communities invite you to discover, experience and learn about your local history and heritage in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

This year the festival is celebrating the history of the railway and how its arrival changed our country and contributed to the settlement of northern Alberta.
