Streetcar service in Edmonton expanded rapidly following its commencement in 1908. By 1912 over 10 million passengers were carried annually. Route expansions happened much faster than nowadays. Streetcar tracks had been laid along Jasper Avenue, to North Edmonton, the Highlands and across the Low Level Bridge to the Town of Strathcona and Bonnie Doon. Read more...
