The Edmonton and Northern Alberta Historic Festival takes place July 8 - 17, 2011.

Visitors can explore museums and special exhibits, participate in heritage activities such as tours of communities, gardens, natural areas, cemeteries and neighbourhoods, enjoy hands-on pioneer experiences, search archives, and attend special events that include storytelling, music and much more. All of these family oriented activities take place in Edmonton and Area, Jasper and Area, Kalyna Country and Northern Alberta.

Many museums, historic sites and communities are presenting events for visitors to discover, experience and learn about local history and heritage in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

This year's festival guide cover is a photo of Secord House that served as the original Edmonton Art Gallery. The current Art Gallery of Alberta and its amazing architecture is featured inside the guide. Read more...
